With less than 2 weeks left til Disney, the excitement levels here are increasing and the countdown is (very quickly) decreasing! I don’t know where the last few months have gone since I made our travel map. But I’ve completely fallen down on the job and haven’t followed through with our countdown. So Pinterest to the rescue and I’ve found some easy and super cute ways for us and you to count down to your next holiday.
They are listed in order of most crafty to least, so choose one that matches your own unique level of craftiness!
Contents
1 Luggage tag artwork
This one is absolutely divine. Serious design skills at work here. There is some crafty time needed and a bit of cutting out, but it gives such a gorgeous result. Especially when you consider it is just a photo frame with a bit of cork roll and three cup hooks, one printable to be the backing paper, and the number printables with a hole punched at the top of each. Are any of the kids nifty with the scissors or a hole punch?

2 Tear-off notebook
This is absolutely fabuloso! And such a great result for some cut out bits of paper, glue, a photo frame and washi tape!
Hands up who owns a paper cutter? Well you are in for some fun here! Lots of straight line cutting required to get all the number squares, so ideal for little fingers who want to have a go. And then hand it over to mama to power through with the cutter once those bubba fingers wear out.

3 Paper chain
This one is my favourite, because all the hard work is done for you, but it gives you a fun activity that gets the kids involved and excited! I’ve been meaning to do something like this to count down to Christmas too. If you’re not Disney bound and prefer softer colours, then this one is super stunning. Just print, cut out the strips and link them together.

4 Custom jars
So super simple and great for little kids to understand. Just keep out of reach so they don’t decide to eat a pebble! Or even better, use lollies instead of pebbles! No printing out required, just two glasses or jars, some small decorative pebbles and sticky letters. Found here.
5 Clipboard Cross-off
Being the simple, non-crafty mama that I am, I’m using this one. Simply click, print and start crossing off the days. Couldn’t be easier! This one is similar, but different and absolutely beautiful. But if you’re handy on the computer, use this idea to create your own. Just use circles instead of Mickey shapes, and design your own heading. You can get a cute clipboard from K-Mart or Typo.
