Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I’m seeing a lot of kimonos around. With a bit of a Japanese vibe and the practicality of keeping a cool breeze at bay, they seem like an ideal alternative to a jacket or cardi. Konnichiwa!!

Rachel from Redcliffe Style has some great suggestions on how to wear one. In fact it’s the Bohemian Traders Falling Flowers kimono jacket (1. above) that she’s demonstrating with in this post.
Or perhaps I could make one from one of the million and two scarves I have. Bec from Styled By Bec’s scarf kimono looks amazingly effective in this post and so easy to do. She even has step by step instructions!
But I’ve also packed away my cosy Ikea dressing gown and am thinking a lighter number would be more appropriate now. Konbanwa!
