This is currently the most popular topic of conversation in Sydney and no wonder. With its second-hottest December since the mid-1800s, followed by its hottest ever January, it’s a pretty safe bet this will be the hottest summer on record for Sydney.
And boy are we feeling it. The beautiful Sydney climate is typically milder than Melbourne, with the temperature rarely passing 35 degrees. But not this year. And those hot nights! Not ideal for sleeping.
Get a blast of cooler mountain air in the Blue Mountains
A fantastic way to get a reprieve from a hot summer is to head to the hills. The Blue Mountains are generally a few degrees cooler than Sydney, which in winter can mean super chilly, but in a summer like this one is a vast improvement!
